Officer Of The Year

A Tulsa Police officer is going through a range of emotions Thursday. Sergeant Stephanie Jackson was named Officer of the Year. Her captain nominated her for outstanding work. Jackson says she loves to make a difference, but says that takes a team effort.

"It's great to be recognized just doing what you love to do, and that's really what it is to me,â€ said Jackson. â€œI mean it's hard to say it in words. I just love doing what I do. I've done it for 10 years, and I just love doing what I do."

Sergeant Jackson grew up with police. Her Godfather served as chief in Oklahoma City.
