OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Governor Brad Henry is vetoing a bill that would've allowed the taking of hunting and fishing licenses of those who hunt or fish without permission on farms, ranches or forests. The bill would have removed a requirement that the land be posted "no hunting" or "no fishing."

State Senator Kenneth Corn says he sponsored the bill to get people to ask for permission before hunting or fishing on a farmer or rancher's property.

But Henry says he vetoed the bill because it's overly broad and prohibits long-standing hunting and fishing practices and traditions.
