OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Legislation passed by the Oklahoma House would make it illegal for registered sex offenders to communicate with children over the Internet. The measure would authorize courts to require convicted sex offenders to register their e-mail addresses and instant message, chat or other Internet names. State probation officers would be responsible for monitoring compliance with the rule.

The measure written by Moore Republican Paul Wesselhoft now goes to Governor Henry's desk.
