WHITE HOUSE (AP) -- British Prime Minister Tony Blair is paying a farewell visit to President Bush.
The two leaders had a private dinner at the White House and are scheduled to have a working session Thursday that will include discussions about issues including Iraq and the humanitarian crisis in Sudan's Darfur region.
The trip is also part of Blair's carefully choreographed farewell. He announced last week that he will step down as prime minister on June 27th.
His departure creates some uncertainty in relations between London and Washington. Blair's likely successor, Gordon Brown, has not made many foreign policy positions clear and is not expected to cultivate a friendship with Bush in the way that Blair has.
