TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- Oral Roberts baseball players Kelly Minissale and Chance Chapman are honored Monday as the Mid-Continent Conference's player and pitcher of the week, respectively.
The pair helped lead the Golden Eagles to a 5-0 mark last week, including a four-game sweep of league rival Centenary.
Minissale, a junior outfielder from Murphy, Texas, went 9-21 and had a double, a triple, 2 home runs, 6 RBIs and 6 runs scored.
Chapman broke a school record with 19 strikeouts in ORU's 12-1 win Friday over Centenary. He had at least 1 strikeout in all 9 innings and fanned seven straight batters in one stretch.
The senior right-hander from Paso Robles, California, allowed 1 run on 3 hits and lowered his overall earned run average to 1.23.
