QUAPAW, Okla. (AP) -- The Quapaw Tribe of Oklahoma is announcing plans for a hotel and casino in far northeastern Oklahoma near the state lines with Kansas and Missouri. Tribal Chairman John Berrey says the $200 million project will include a 240-room hotel, restaurants, shops and a casino with 2,000 slot machines, 30 table games and 15 poker tables.
Berrey says the project will have about 1,200 employees and groundbreaking is expected in about a month with the opening planned for July 2008.
