Motorcycle Rider Dies In Accident

LAWTON, Okla. (AP) -- One person is dead after an accident Saturday night in Lawton involving a motorcycle and a pickup truck.

Lawton police say the pickup truck was traveling north on a city street about 7 p.m. and made a U-turn. The motorcycle was traveling northbound behind the pickup truck and struck the truck in the driver's side door while the U turn was being made.

The motorcycle rider was taken to Comanche County Memorial Hospital, where the rider died about 11:30 p.m.

Lawton police have not released the identities of the motorcycle rider or the pickup truck driver, who was not injured.
