OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Kassie Humphreys drove in the winning run in the eighth today as defending champion Kansas beat Iowa State 2-to-1 win in the Big 12 softball tournament.
Also, Texas Tech beat Oklahoma State 6-to-5, in eight innings.
-- Stevie Crisosto doubled with two outs off Iowa State starter Alyssa Ransom (12-18) and moved to third on a wild pitch before Elle Pottorf walked. Humphreys, who tied the game with an R-B-I single in the fourth inning, then drove in Crisosto with a single to left field.
Humphreys (19-14) yielded only Alex Johnson's fourth-inning home run in a complete game for the seventh-seeded Jayhawks. She also hit two batters and struck out seven.
-- Whitney Riley homered as Texas Tech rallied from a four-run deficit. Robyn Wike singled home the winning run to lift the Lady Raiders to the 6-to-5 victory over Oklahoma State.
Brandy Moulin started the Lady Raiders' comeback from a 5-1 deficit with an R-B-I double in the sixth inning. Riley followed with her first home run of the season to cut the deficit to one.
A two-out error by second baseman Sadie Krywicki kept the seventh inning alive for Tech, and pinch hitter Alex Watkins had an R-B-I single off Chelsey Barclay (2-6) to force extra innings.
Jennifer Corkin also homered for eighth-seeded Texas Tech.
Oklahoma State scored all five of its runs in the third inning while getting only two hits.
