MOORE, Okla. (AP) -- An 11-year-old boy awoke Friday and discovered the bodies of his grandmother and another woman in the living room of the grandmother's home on the city's north side, Moore police said.
After the boy alerted neighbors, Moore police responded to the home about 8:30 a.m. Friday and determined both women were dead, said Sgt. Todd Strickland.
"There were no obvious signs of trauma to the body or foul play, no signs of breaking and entering," Strickland said. "Empty alcohol bottles and prescription pill bottles were found in the residence."
Neighbors saw both women about 7 p.m. Thursday and told police they appeared intoxicated.
The women's bodies were transported to the state medical examiner's office to determine the cause of death.
The identities of the women were not immediately released. Strickland said the grandmother was in her early 50s and the other woman was in her 40s.
