WASHINGTON (AP) -- A new poll indicates Americans are just as unhappy with the Democratic-led Congress as they are with President Bush. The AP-Ipsos poll found only 35% approve of how Congress is doing its job. That's the same approval rating as the president.

Congressman Tom Cole of Oklahoma believes the low numbers are due mostly to Iraq. Cole says the numbers are not good news for any incumbent regardless of being a Republican or Democrat.

Cole is chairman of the House campaign committee that works to elect Republicans to Congress.

The telephone poll of 1,000 adults was taken Monday through Wednesday and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.
