Sooners, Cowgirls Earn Softball Honors

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Oklahoma third baseman Norelle Dickson and pitcher Lauren Eckman have won Big 12 softball player of the year awards and three other Sooners are first-team All-Big 12 selections.
Two Oklahoma State Cowgirls are also on the all-conference first team.
Dickson is the player of the year while Eckman shares the pitcher of the year award with Amanda Scarborough of Texas A&M.
Dickson and Eckman are on the 19-player first-team all-conference team with teammates Amber Flores, Susan Ogden and Samantha Ricketts.
OSU's Shanel Scott and Courtney Totte are also on the All-Big 12 first team.
