OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Severe weather is on the march across Oklahoma Friday.
Television news footage showed a tornado touch down about seven miles southwest of Arnett in Ellis County in the far western sections of the state. As of 6:30, it was still on the ground.
There were no immediate reports of injury, but storm spotters reported seeing debris in its path.
A tornado warning also was issued for Roger Mills County, which is part of a larger tornado watch in effect until 2 a.m. tomorrow for 25 counties in western and central Oklahoma.
The watch issued by the National Weather Service includes Lawton and Enid and the far western fringes of the Oklahoma City metropolitan area.
