Tulsa Wins Conference USA Golf Title

TEXARKANA, Ark. (AP) _ Tulsa captures the 11th league golf title in school history as the Golden Hurricane post a 20-stroke win in the Conference USA tournament in Texarkana, Arkansas.

The win Tuesday at the Texarkana Country Club qualifies TU for the NCAA Central Regional Championship later this month in Chicago.

TU finished with a three-day total of 855, while second-place Alabama-Birmingham closed at 875. It was the third tournament win of the season for the Golden Hurricane.

All five of TU's golfers finished in the individual top 10, led by Brett Myers and Nicolas Geyger, who tied for second at 3-under-par, one shot behind medalist Garrett Osborn of UAB.

TU coach Bill Brogden also received Conference USA's coach of the year award.
