OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ The federal government is suing an Oklahoma City hand surgeon for allegedly making false claims to Medicaid, Medicare and the military's TRICARE program.

The lawsuit accuses Doctor Houshang Seradge of claiming more than $2.6 million by making more than 6,400 false claims since 1994. The action asks for more than $40 million in damages.

Seradge and his surgery center issued a statement saying the rules are complicated and that there was no intentional violation of the rules.
