A Tulsa Police officer is sent to the hospital after a car accident overnight. It happened about 1 a.m. Monday at 15th and Boston. The police officer was westbound on 15th Street when another driver hit him in the intersection.

Tulsa Police say the police officerâ€™s injuries are not life threatening.

The other driver, identified as 45-year-old James Heckenkemper, failed a field sobriety test and was taken to the Tulsa County jail. He was booked into jail on complaints of DUI and failure to stop at a red light.
