ARDMORE, Okla. (AP) -- A woman driving a sport utility vehicle that collided with a Dickson Public School bus Friday was in serious condition and five children suffered minor injuries, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.
The accident occurred just before 7:30 a.m. on U.S. Highway 70, about one mile east of Ardmore.
The cause of the accident was still under investigation, but troopers said Rebecca Marguerite Matchen, 31, of Madill was taken to an Oklahoma City hospital in serious condition with head and internal injuries.
There were 33 children and driver Sherri Zane Blancett, 39, on the bus. Five children were treated and released at an Ardmore hospital for what were called minor injuries.
