Motorcycle Rider Dies In Crash

A man is dead following a high speed crash on U.S. Highway 169. A motorcyclist slammed into the back of a pickup on 169 near 71st Street, said police. It happened just after 4 a.m. Sunday.
The 21-year-old rider was pronounced dead at the scene. Witnesses say he was going over 100 miles an hour at the time of the crash.
The highway was shutdown while authorities investigated and cleared the debris.
This is the second deadly motorcycle crash in less than a week in the area. On Tuesday, April 17th, a motorcycle rider was killed when he ran into the back of a semi at 81st and U.S. Highway 169. Witnesses say that rider was going at least 120 miles an hour at the time of the crash.
