Several people are injured and a man is arrested following a night of carjackings and accidents, said police. A man armed with a crowbar carjacked several people in Tulsa Saturday night, said officers.
Police saw the suspect at a convenience store near 71st and Lewis, he drove off leading officers on a chase. The chase ended near 21st and Harvard when the man hit a police cruiser, and a telephone pole, his car then caught fire, authorities said.
Neither the suspect nor the officer he hit were seriously injured, officials said. Police do believe the man was involved in at least two injury accidents in east Tulsa earlier in the night.
"He's stolen several cars, just kinda gave us a hard time, gave the citizens a hard time," said Tulsa Police Captain Rick Helberg.
Tulsa Police say some people the suspect crashed into suffered some injuries, but nothing too serious.
