ARDMORE, Okla. (AP) -- Plans for a $20 million resort lodge at Oklahoma's largest state park are one step closer to becoming a reality. The Oklahoma Tourism Commission Thursday approved a lease with the Ardmore Tourism Authority, allowing plans to move forward for the new lodge at Lake Murray State Park in south-central Oklahoma.
Officials must now negotiate a sublease with Dallas-based SDS Development Group and Prism Hotel Management.
Groundbreaking could take place as early as six months from now, and the resort could be completed in about 18 months.
