STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) -- The massacre at Virginia Tech has Oklahoma State officials working to speed up delivery of a reverse 911 telephone system. OSU spokesman Gary Shutt says students, faculty and staff will provide an emergency phone number OSU would use to notify them with a voice or text message in case of an emergency.
OSU has 26,000 students and employees.
Earlier this week the University of Oklahoma decided to keep doors to all residence halls locked at all times.
The shooting Monday at a dorm and classroom building at Virginia Tech left 33 people, including the gunman, dead.
