OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ NBA commissioner David Stern says he'll attend the New Orleans Hornets final regular-season home game in Oklahoma City.

The Hornets host Denver on Friday before closing the season on the road.

The team is to return to New Orleans full-time next season.

Stern says he's coming to the game to say ``thank you'' to Oklahoma City for providing the Hornets a temporary home after Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans.

The Hornets also remain in the chase for the eighth and final spot in the playoffs.
