A former Tulsa firefighter will have to pay back thousands of dollars after admitting he lied about injuries to get worker's comp money. 52-year-old William Adams has been ordered to pay the city of Tulsa nearly $7,700.
In addition, Adams was given a 5-year deferred sentence. Investigators hired by city officials witnessed Adams raking, shoveling and doing other yard work, as well as lifting a large tree stump and loading a riding lawn mower into the back of a truck.
