Close Bunche ECDC

Close the Bunche Early Childhood Development Center (ECDC) at the end of the 2006-2007 school year and relocate students to their neighborhood schools. Savings: $383,900.







Relocate Margaret Hudson

Relocate Margaret Hudson Alternative Program. Savings: $46,809.







Reopen Jones Elementary School

Establish Jones as an elementary school in January 2008. This school will help relieve overcrowding at Bell, Lindbergh, and MacArthur schools.







Close Lindsey Learning Academy

Close Lindsey Learning Academy at the end of 2006-2007 school year. Replicate the Project ACCEPT model at Roosevelt Elementary School in four schools within the feeder patterns. Savings: $118,400.







Close Pershing/Phoenix Alternative Schools

Close Pershing/Phoenix Alternative Schools at the end of the 2006-2007 school year. Establish the Tulsa Academic Center (TAC) at the Lindsey site and relocate students who qualify for the programs to this site. Two unique programs, Term Academic Program (TAP) and Performance Training Program (PTP), will serve 6-8 grade students in need of alternative school services. Savings: $79,200.







Restructure Franklin Youth Academy

Restructure Franklin Youth Academy as a sixth-eighth grade accredited middle school program and increase the enrollment to 145 students. Reassign high school students to Project 12, Street School, or Tulsa Learning Academy. Possible Cost: $600,000.







Consolidate Monroe & Gilcrease Middle Schools

Combine Monroe Middle School and Gilcrease Intermediate School on the Gilcrease campus to serve sixth-eighth grade students who reside in Area I of Tulsa Public Schools. The staffs at Monroe Middle School and Gilcrease Intermediate School will participate in the modified staff reconstitution plan.
Savings: $559,200.

Elementary K-5 8:00 a.m. to 2:45 p.m. 7:55 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.
Middle 8:45 a.m. to 3:35 p.m. 8:20 a.m. to 3:10 p.m.
High 8:45 a.m. to 3:35 p.m. 8:50 a.m. to 3:40 p.m.
