Passenger Dies In Accident

MINCO, Okla. (AP) -- A 53-year-old El Reno woman dies Sunday when the sport utility vehicle she was riding in hit a tree and rolled. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the accident that took the life of Alejandra Obregon happened about 2:50 p.m. on State Highway 152 in Grady County.

Troopers say 26-year-old Julia Ramirez of El Reno was driving westbound when the SUV went off the road for an unknown reason, she overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle, hitting a tree. That caused the SUV to roll.

Obregon died at the scene.

Ramirez and another passenger, 5-year-old Juan Garcia of El Reno, were treated at an El Reno hospital and released. Two other passengers, 26-year-old Francisco Garcia and 56-year-old Jose Ramirez, both of El Reno, were not injured.
