WICHITA, Kan. (AP) A police Web site tracking people arrested in Wichita for prostitution-related crimes is getting a lot of notice.

The Web site was started on March 2nd. Authorities say it has averaged more than 1,500 hits a day, making it the sixth-most-popular city site on the Internet.

The site posts the mug shots of people charged in connection with prostitution-related crimes for 30 days. They're posted again if the person is convicted and the pictures then go into an archive.

City officials say the site was intended to show the presence of prostitution and the problems surrounding it.
