MUSKOGEE, Okla. (AP) The state's Civil Air Patrol receives an "excellent" rating in its biennial evaluation by U.S. Air Force inspectors. The two-day evaluation was conducted earlier this month at Muskogee's Davis Field airport. Inspectors from the Civil Air Patrol's Southwest Liason Region graded all aspects of the operations of the Oklahoma Civil Air Patrol wing.

Each Civil Air Patrol wing is evaluated every two years by the Air Force to ensure its readiness.

The Civil Air Patrol is a volunteer auxiliary of the Air Force and conducts 95% of inland search-and-rescue missions in the United States.
