The job status of Catoosa School’s superintendent could be decided Monday evening. The Catoosa school board is expected to vote on a settlement for Superintendent Larry Cale. Last Friday, the school board voted to dismiss 13 support employees to help Catoosa cut costs. The district has a $600,000 deficit. The school board then went into executive session to discuss Cale's future.

The school board didn't vote to fire him, but did decide to proceed with a settlement for Cale. The school board will also vote on whether to approve the appointment of Bill White as interim superintendent. He was hired as a financial consultant for the district last month.

The school board is also expected to consider raising the price of school lunches at the meeting. School officials say it is a move to cut some of the school district's debt.
