LAWRENCE, Kan. (AP) Russell Moldenhauer doubled home the go-ahead run in the top of the 8th as Texas beat Kansas 6-5 Saturday.
Texas (28-10, 9-3) tied the game at 5-5 in the 7th on a home run by Kyle Russell, his second of the game and 20th of the season.
Kansas (18-20, 4-8) had tied the game at 4-4 in the 5th. Robby Price singled to score Buck Afenir, Brock Simpson drove in 2 runs and Erik Morrison had an RBI double.
Kansas took a 5-4 lead in the 6th when Kyle Murphy singled home Preston Land.
Randy Boone (1-5) pitched 2 1-3 innings of relief for the win, and Kansas reliever Paul Smyth (2-2) was the losing pitcher.
