TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- A Tulsa businessman says state law should allow companies to refuse to hire anyone who smokes. Ken Lackey of the Nordam Group says smoking and tobacco products are hazardous to company employees and puts a burden on the workplace.

He says other states allow businesses to reject smokers and says Oklahoma should do the same.

Lackey is a former member of the staff of former Governor Frank Keating.
