A fire gutted part of a west Tulsa home Wednesday morning. Firefighters are now trying to figure out how it started. The fire broke out around 9:30 a.m. Crews say it began inside the home's garage and quickly spread to the attic. One firefighter suffered slight burns to his face and was treated at the scene. No one else was injured.
"Extremely thankful and we're trying to do the best we can to salvage the furnishings in the home and reduce the loss for the homeowner," said Tulsa Fire Department Captain Larry Bowles.
No one was home when the fire started.
