ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Michigan is hoping John Beilein can revive their men's basketball program like he has at his four other previous jobs. The Wolverines have hired Beilein away from West Virginia where he took the Mountaineers to the NIT title last week. He'll be introduced at a news conference Wednesday.

Beilein has performed turnarounds at LeMoyne, Canisius, Richmond and West Virginia and will be taking over a program that has failed to qualify for the NCAA tournament since 1998. His 29 previous years of coaching, Beilein has taken his teams to eleven postseason berths.

He'll replace the fired Tommy Amaker who was let go last month after six seasons.
