NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -- A Norman man hit by a pickup truck Friday while trying to cross Interstate 35 has died.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the 45-year-old man died Saturday morning at Norman Regional Hospital. His name wasn't released pending notification of relatives.

The patrol says the man was trying to cross the interstate at Main Street about 8 p.m. Friday night when he was struck by a southbound pickup truck driven by 19-year-old Travis Beil of Norman.

Beil wasn't hurt.
