In a near unanimous vote, Tulsa city councilors have agreed to a plan adding an extra $3.64 to utility bills. That money will cover EMSA costs for every Tulsa resident, except those who decide to opt out of the plan.
The Tulsa city council voted on the plan Thursday evening.
The only councilman to vote 'no' was city councilor Bill Christiansen. He says there's already enough money in the city's general fund to pay EMSA's Total Care costs.
