OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Some Democrats in the state House are concerned that the governor's veto of a $6.8 billion budget plan could have a negative effect on other legislation they've proposed.
The 44 House Democrats are in position to prevent an override of Democratic Governor Brad Henry's veto of the budget plan passed by lawmakers in both legislative houses.
But some are worried that Republican leaders could try to pressure them into cooperating with the veto override by refusing to hear their legislation in GOP-controlled committees.
House Democratic Leader Danny Morgan says he'd be surprised if Democratic legislation was killed because of the budget veto.
