Some Tulsa area students were given a one-day pass to observe Oklahoma's best doctors at work. Juniors and seniors at Tulsa Technology Center visited the Cancer Treatment Centers of America at 10109 East 79th Street this week.
The students toured surgery, radiology and pharmacy departments. “They can read about the technologies in class but coming out and actually seeing it in action and professionals working it gives them an opportunity to ask questions,†says Tulsa Tech instructor Renae Green.
Tech student Nikita Miles was impressed. “It was definitely more than we expected because usually you just hear about people who have cancer. You don't really hear about their treatments.†Cancer Treatment Centers of America was recently named one of the best companies to work for in Oklahoma.
