OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Chesapeake Energy Corporation announces a $1.1 million contribution to the University of Oklahoma.
The money will be used mainly to provide scholarships related to the energy industry.
The Sarkeys Energy Center and the OU College of Law will receive $300,000 of the total contribution for course and program enhancements.
In 2003, Chesapeake gave the university $500,000 over a five-year period to enhance business- and energy-related facilities, equipment and courses.
