ENID, Okla. (AP) -- A storm system spun up brief, weak tornadoes in north-central Oklahoma Monday evening, but there were no immediate reports of damage or injuries.
The National Weather Service and weather spotters says residents reported seeing funnel clouds, some of which touched down, as a band of heavy rain and thunderstorms moved through Garfield and Grant counties Monday afternoon.
A tornado warning was issued about 5:15 p.m. for Garfield County after a tornado was spotted in northeast Enid and about 10 miles southwest of Hunter.
The twisters associated with the storm were short-lived and small. The National Weather Service says Oklahoma wasn't part of any severe weather watch at the time.
