NORMAN, Okla. (AP) More than 360 students from more than 70 colleges and universities are gathered in Norman for an annual policy debate national championship that begins Wednesday on the campus of the University of Oklahoma.
The Cross Examination Debate Association event will continue through Sunday.
Students in the contest compete in teams of two.
This year's debate topic will be over whether the U.S. Supreme Court should overturn one or more of four of its well-known decisions, the most recent of which was Planned Parenthood versus Casey in 1992.
That case allowed states to place some restrictions on abortion, but also reaffirmed a woman's right to an abortion established under Roe versus Wade and said states couldn't place an "undue burden" on women seeking an abortion.
