OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) Backup guard Bobby Jackson is expected to miss the New Orleans Hornets' game Tuesday night at Memphis after being placed on the inactive list with a strained right Achilles tendon.
He is considered day-to-day.
Jackson is the Hornets' top scorer off the bench, averaging 10.6 points and 3.2 rebounds. He scored 6-points in nearly 30 minutes in New Orleans' 106-88 win against Boston Monday night in Oklahoma City.
He played the entire 4th quarter after New Orleans had built a 28-point lead entering the period.
The Hornets activated forward Brandon Bass to take Jackson's place.
