OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Showers and thunderstorms are expected across Oklahoma this week, beginning Monday as a front moving in from the southwest is expected to stall out over the state.

The National Weather Service said Monday will be mostly cloudy with a chance for showers and thunderstorms and highs in the 60s to mid 70s.

Showers are likely to continue Monday night, with just a chance for rain in the Panhandle, and overnight lows ranging from the mid 40s in the Panhandle to the upper 50s in southeast Oklahoma.

Thunderstorms are likely in eastern Oklahoma on Tuesday, with a chance for showers in the west and daytime highs again in the upper 60s to mid 70s.

Cloudy skies are to continue on Wednesday, with a chance for showers and thunderstorms and daytime highs in the 70s. Overnight lows are expected to dip into the 50s to around 60 degrees.

Mostly cloudy skies are expected to continue on Thursday and Friday, with a chance for showers and thunderstorms. Daytime highs are expected in the upper 60s to mid 70s, with overnight lows ranging from the lower 40s in the Panhandle to the mid 50s and lower 60s across the rest of the state.
