A Green Country school superintendent resigns. Bixby Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Mary Jane Bias handed in her resignation Thursday during a special school board meeting. Her resignation letter says "a major difference in philosophy" between the role of the superintendent and the board led to her stepping down.

The News On 6 spoke with Bias. She didn't want to go into details on her differences with the board, but says she's leaving on good terms.

Bias was hired as the superintendent back in 2000. She'll remain on the job until June 30th of this year.
