KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) _ Oklahoma teams continue to fare well in the first round of the NAIA Division One basketball tournaments.
In the men's tournament in Kansas City, Missouri, Southern Nazarene became the third state team to advance to Friday's second round as the Crimson Storm beat Westminster of Utah 72-to-67.
Oklahoma City and Oklahoma Baptist are joined by Northwestern Oklahoma, which beat Lewis-Clark State of Idaho 61-to-57.
All four will be in action today, with OBU facing Robert Morris, Illinois; Southern Nazarene playing Union, Tennessee, Oklahoma City taking on Illinois-Springfield and Northwestern Oklahoma playing Xavier, Louisiana.
In the women's tournament in Jackson, Tennessee, Langston advanced with a 77-to-74 win over Azusa Pacific of California, but Oklahoma Baptist fell 72-to-68 to Cumberland of Tennessee.
Southern Nazarene, which played Thursday night, squeaked by Loyola, Louisiana, 78-to-77 in overtime.
SNU, Langston, Oklahoma Christian and Oklahoma City are headed for Friday's second round.
