A Broken Arrow mother may soon be charged with assaulting a child on a school bus. The Broken Arrow City Prosecutor has decided to pursue Assault and Battery charges against the woman. The decision was made after police reviewed the surveillance video from the bus.
On March 2nd the mother allegedly boarded a Broken Arrow schools bus and slapped a child, which was not her own. Officers believe this may be a case of a parent confronting her child's bully.
A judge is now reviewing the case to determine if charges will be filed. Assault and Battery is a Class A offense and carries a maximum penalty of $750, imprisonment, or both.
