TAHLEQUAH, Okla. (AP) _ The condition of the president of Northeastern State University is improving after he suffered a heart attack last weekend.
NSU spokeswoman Nancy Garber says Larry Williams is resting comfortably at a Tulsa hospital.
Williams was taken to Tahlequah City Hospital on Saturday, then transferred by medical helicopter to a Tulsa facility, where tests confirmed he suffered a heart attack. Doctors inserted a coronary stent to relieve blockage in a narrowed artery.
Garber says Williams vital signs remain stable.
