Few people know an executive chef plans the menus at Tulsa Public Schools. On Wednesday, Tulsa Public Schools' Executive Chef Sidney Sides put on a cooking demonstration for students and the News On 6 cameras at Memorial High School at 5840 South Hudson Avenue.

On the menu was a zesty Italian cuisine. The students watched as Executive Chef Sides put on a fiery show. He says his goal during Wednesday's demonstration was to get students excited about healthy food. "We do it to let kids. To try to get kids to eat vegetables. There's plenty of vegetables as you can see. Also to let them know there's other things out there they can eat, try different things if they see it.â€

Tulsa Public Schools also offers a smoothie bar at many of the district's schools.
