OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- A Tulsa woman charged with manslaughter for the death of her baby in an auto accident is now in custody in Texas. Lanie Moody was arrested near Fort Hood, Texas, on Oklahoma charges of manslaughter, child neglect, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Authorities say Moody was seven months pregnant when she crashed her car last November near Sapulpa. She underwent a caesarean section but the baby died within days and tests later found meth in the baby's system.
Moody's 7- and 4-year-old children were injured in the crash and police say they found meth next to the car and a crack pipe in her pants.
