STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) Matt Mangini went 3-4 with 4-RBIs and scored twice as Oklahoma State completed a sweep of its three-game baseball series against Nicholls State with a 12-4 win on Sunday.
Oklahoma State (10-3) extended its winning streak to five games, thanks in good part to a 7-run 3rd inning. Nicholls State (3-10) led 3-2 before Oklahoma State batted in the inning, but the Cowboys sent 11 batters to the plate.
Mangini, who had a run-scoring single in the 1st inning, followed in the 3rd with a RBI double off Nicholls State starter Justin Breaux (1-2). Matt Lopez had a 2-run single and Keanon Simon hit a 3-run home run before the inning ended with the Cowboys ahead 9-3.
Mangini added a 2-run home run in the 5th inning. Also for Oklahoma State, Tyler Mach went 2-5 with 2-RBIs and 2-runs scored and Lopez was 3-4 with 3-RBIs and 2-runs scored.
For the Colonels, Thomas Bourne went 4-5 and Ryan Bledsoe finished 3-5 with 2-RBIs.
Oklahoma State starter Andrew Oliver (3-0) struggled, allowing 8-hits and 4-runs in 4 1/3 innings, but still recorded the pitching win.
