STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ Corey Brown had 3-RBI's and Oklahoma State never trailed en route to a 7-2 victory over Nicholls State.
Brown got the Cowboys offense going with a 2-run homer in the bottom of the 1st-inning Friday night. He hit another RBI in the 2nd-inning and scored on Matt Mangini's single to left field to increase Oklahoma State's advantage to 4-0.
Nicholls State (3-8) rallied in the 3rd-with a run off Ryan Bledsoe's sacrifice fly that brought the score to 4-1. But the Colonels only managed one more run in the 8th-when Whitney Dawes hit a single to right field, scoring Thomas Bourne.
Matt Gardner (3-0) picked up the win for the Cowboys (8-3) and Justin Friend earned the save.
