SAYRE, Okla. (AP) -- Police say more girls are coming forward with allegations of sexual harassment against a former Sayre High School coach and teacher.
The new allegations come after Bobby Ray Hines was charged in Beckham County earlier this week with two counts of soliciting sex with a minor and one count of sexual battery.
Detective Kenny Shirey says other girls are now not as afraid to come forward since Hines was charged. Shirey says he believes even more allegations will be made. The detective says the investigation now dates back to the 1992-1993 school year when Hines was an agriculture teacher in the Sweetwater School District.
Hines had been at Sayre since 1994 until resigning earlier this month. He's currently free on $5,000 bond.
