Tami Marler thanks News On 6 viewers for their support.
Dear Friends,
Recently I came upon a fork in the road of life. I have a new career opportunity where I can put my skills to work in a new way and more importantly, participate fully in the lives and activities of my children. In March, I will join Tulsa Public Schools as Director of Public Information.
But before I leave The News On 6, I want to thank you, our viewers, for your kindness throughout my 11 years in Tulsa television. It has been an honor to help bring the news to you. Together, we've seen our neighbors in the Tar Creek Superfund site persevere; we met survivors of a world-changing hurricane and witnessed wildfires that damaged hundreds of thousands of acres in Oklahoma. We've also celebrated students who achieve and the teachers who inspire, progress and growth in our communities, and those whose everyday efforts make a difference in people's lives. My, how time has flown!
Thank you for welcoming me and The News On 6 into your home through the years. I appreciate the opportunity to have met so many wonderful, strong, courageous Oklahomans. Who knows? Maybe one day we'll meet again. I certainly hope so.
Warmest regards, Tami Marler
